The Pen the Pain project (2024-2025), including the creation of this collection of poetry, the book, ebook and audiobook was all made possible through the Art of Life initiative.The Art of Life is a shared island project which seeks to normalise conversations around death, dying and planning for end of life using creative approaches. Creativity can have a real impact, helping people to process and express emotion, maintain human connection and to make sens of their experiences.Pen the Pain was facilitated by multidisciplinary artist Helen Keenan. This collection of poetry has proudly been created for inclusion in Death Positive Libraries across Ireland.Funded through Creative Ireland, Shared Island Health and Wellbeing and Cavan County Council through Creative Cavan.
